How it works

One request → expert consult → standardized scope → vetted bidders → apples-to-apples quotes → guided award → support through closeout.

1) Submit your request

Tell us the basics: building type/size, city/AHJ, timelines, drawings (if any), current brand, and pain points. Attach photos or device counts if you have them.

You provide: address, occupancy/use, floors/sq ft, brand on site (e.g., Notifier/Edwards/Siemens), any prior quotes or plans.

2) Expert consult (15–30 minutes)

One of our consultant experts reviews your goals, confirms AHJ/jurisdiction, special hazards, monitoring needs, and any code constraints. We make sure we’re scoping the right work from the start.

3) Scope & compliance alignment

We prepare a simple bid package aligned to NFPA 72, IBC/IFC, and your AHJ’s requirements. We standardize device counts/specs and define accepted alternates (proprietary & non-proprietary) so every bidder prices the same scope.

Deliverable: scope outline + notes on code basis, device schedule/high-level counts, assumptions & exclusions.
(We don’t provide stamped design; if you need engineered drawings, we can refer a licensed PE.)

4) Vet & invite qualified contractors

We invite 2–4 licensed, insured, manufacturer-certified contractors that meet your AHJ’s licensing rules. We check credentials, safety record, capacity, references, and lead times before they bid.

5) Competitive bids, side-by-side

Bidders use our template so you get apples-to-apples proposals: parts, labor, programming, monitoring, warranty, schedule, and lead times clearly broken out. We flag exclusions and change-order risks.

Deliverable: comparison matrix + original proposals.

6) Recommendation, value-engineering & negotiation

We highlight cost drivers, suggest value-engineering options that keep you code-right, and—where appropriate—negotiate pricing/terms, warranty, and schedule. You select the best total value, not just the lowest number.

7) Award & next steps

We help confirm the award, align assumptions, and outline payment terms, milestones, and submittal expectations so the project starts cleanly (NTP/permit path clearly defined).

8) Support through closeout

If you want end-to-end help, we stay with you through submittals, permitting, procurement tracking, install milestones, AHJ inspections/testing, change-order review, training, warranties, and as-builts.

Typical timeline

  • Day 0–1: Intake + expert consult

  • Day 1–3: Scope & compliance alignment

  • Day 4–12: Bid window (size & supply chain dependent)

  • Day 13–14: Comparison, recommendation, negotiation

  • Day 15+: Award, submittals, and schedule kickoff
(Small/straightforward jobs can move faster; complex sites may take longer.)

Who pays us (you pick per project)

  • Contractor-pays (common): our broker/referral fee is paid by the winning contractor at NTP or first draw.

  • Client-pays advisory: flat advisory + optional success fee when you prefer full owner control.

  • Hybrid: small retainer (credited at award) + contractor fee.

What you get

  • A code-aligned bid package and vetted bidder shortlist

  • 2–4 comparable quotes with a clean comparison matrix

  • Clear recommendation with VE options and risk flags

  • Optional support through submittals → AHJ inspection → closeout

  •

Compliance & clarity

We protect end users from inflated pricing and ensure you work with qualified, reputable contractors using UL-listed equipment, aligned to NFPA 72 and your AHJ. FireQuote USA is a procurement advisor (not the installer or engineer of record).
